Azerbaijan, officially the Republic of Azerbaijan, is one of the six independent Turkic states in the Caucasus region of Eurasia.

It is located in the Southwestern Asia, bordering the Caspian Sea, between Iran and Russia, with a small European portion north of the Caucasus range.
